There are several reasons why you might want to craft. Its fun, you can use the things you craft in the game, you can sell the things you craft to other users and you can use the raw materials you've acquired to build better products. Crafting takes place on the Workbench table requires level 15! and the Blacksmith Forge requires level 25. Please remember the level requirements before purchasing the items!
This depends on what you are crafting. Each item you craft will require different things. Before you can craft the item you will have to add the crafting instructions to your table or Blacksmith Forge. These crafting instructions come with a note card of all required supplies. Most supplies fall under wood, lumber, raw metals, nails, hammers, screwdrivers and similar building tools.
You will have to first add the instruction to your assets. You do this simply by clicking on the crafting instruction. Once you click on the crafting instruction it will add the instruction set to your assets. This will make sure its always there for you to craft. Each instruction set for the Workbench table comes with a loader that will rez out from the crafting instructions. This loader looks like a little blue beYou man with a construction hat. If you are adding a crafting instruction for the Blacksmith Forge, once you click on the blueprint you're all set. You will find this option once you start up the forge and click on the anvil.
You must make sure that the instruction is close by your Workbench table(s). You MUST click on the loader and it will search out all tables that you have out. Most people have one, but if you have more than one it will find them all. Once the loader is completed, it will add the builds to your table. If you get a new Workbench table you must do this again! If not you will eventually get a message while crafting that stats "The build item is missing from your table". If you see this message please re-rez out your instruction and re-load it into your table.
This depends on what you are crafting. Some items take longer than others. Some crafting instructions allow you to make more than just one item. Instructions for multiple items will take longer than singles. Each crafting item will be made up of multiple stages. Each stage has unique requirements and may take a different amount of time than another stage. You must complete all stages before the item can be finished.
Several reasons, but mostly because crafting is not a profession and therefore there is no need to enable a profession to perform the task. We reward the users who have committed to playing beYou and therefore you cannot craft items on your first day of playing. It requires a little bit of time and commitment before you can start supplying crafted items for yourself and for others. We understand that some people will be disappointed and will chose not to play beYou because of this and we understand your concerns but will not be changing this feature.
