Lawyers handle the legal side of life in beYou: family requests such as marriages, adoptions and divorces, name changes, and service licences such as food service. Anyone who wants to start or grow a family needs a lawyer.

In world, the bY Law Processing Desk processes the licences and certifications every profession levels with.

Works with

  • Education Teachers create the applications you process; name change applications come from them.
  • Doctor Doctors convert completed adoptions into birth certificates.

Getting started

Before you start

  • Be beYou level 5 to turn on any profession.
  • Be beYou level 25 to use the bY Law Processing Desk.
  • Three professions can be active at once, and a change locks for 60 days.

Your first books

  1. Learning to Train, which comes with the beYou Study Hall Skill Trainer desk.
  2. At level 0: Basic Rules of Law - Part 1, Basic Rules of Law - Part 2.
  3. At level 1: Lawyer Beginner-002A, Lawyer Beginner-002B. Do not start these before level 1; its research only counts books finished at that level.
  4. After that, your books come through Education.

What a level takes

Levelling Law is research: a set list of tasks for each level, done in world. Alongside them a level needs skill points and LEP, and its training books.

15 tasks, 89 things to do in all, to reach level 1.

Some of these only start counting once the task before them is finished, so work down the list in order.

Every level needs skill points, LEP (life experience points, earned over time while you wear the HUD) and that level's research. Law is built on Charisma, which reaches 5,172 points by the top level.
